If you choose not to enroll in a price protection program, you can go with the market price. As a customer using this method, you will receive multiple deliveries during the season at different prices - some prices could be high and some could be low. The average price you end up paying will always be a competitive price for that heating season.

If you are interested in protecting your price, please read about our three plans. For more information or to enroll, please call us or contact us

You purchase your seasonal supply (or a portion of it) and pay based on market conditions, but never exceeding the "cap price" that we agree upon when you enroll, regardless of how high prices go during the heating season.

  • Pros: Your maximum price is capped, and you won't pay more regardless of where prices go. If prices decrease, you will benefit. Please speak with Haab Energy representative for more details or contact us.
  • Cons: Picking a point in time to choose your cap may result in paying higher prices if market drops.

You agree to purchase your seasonal supply (or a portion of it) from Haab Energy for a fixed price that we agree upon when you enroll.

  • Pros: Your price is locked in. If prices increase during the heating season, you avoid paying the higher price. This may also be a good budgeting tool to maintain your finances.
  • Cons: If the price should decrease during the heating season, you will not benefit because your price is locked in.

You purchase your seasonal supply (or a portion of it) in advance. We price your oil based on preseason prices with a built-in discount that rewards you for paying in advance.

  • Pros: Your bill is paid in advance, and your price is locked in. If prices increase during the heating season, you avoid paying the higher price. This may also be a good budgeting tool to maintain your finances.
  • Cons: If the price should decrease during the heating season, you will not benefit because your price is locked in.

Haab Energy accepts payment by cash, check, electronic check, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover), debit card, or electronic funds transfer (EFT).
