A Tale of Two Phillies

- 12:02 pm - March 21st, 2017

On Monday March 13, our Philadelphia Phillies were in spring training battle against the Baltimore Orioles under the Sarasota sun. Truth be told, it was overcast and drizzly, though still a comfortable 75°. Over at Citizens Bank Park? Not so much Philadelphia has been hit with the dreaded “wintry mix” and freezing temperatures. Did somebody say spring?

Of course, it won’t always be so dismal. In fact, according to AccuWeather’s long-range projection, our area is looking at an entire July with temperatures pushing 90°. And though that sounds a lot more appealing than shoveling snow, you’re going to be wishing for a pinch of cool (if not a blizzard!) when those sticky, sweaty dog days of summer arrive. If only you’d thought about that A/C system back in March … consider this your reminder from the future!

If you’ve ever thought of installing a new central air conditioning system or replacing an older one, there is no better time than now to start setting up a cool summer. For homes with existing ductwork and lots of open space, there’s no substitute for the complete comfort of a central air conditioning system. Central air conditioners are more efficient than room air conditioners, not to mention inconspicuous, quiet and simple to operate.

According to the U.S. Department of Energy, modern energy-efficient units use up to 50 percent less energy to produce the same amount of cooling as air conditioners made in the mid-1970s, saving both energy and money. Even if your air conditioner is only 10 years old, you can still save 20-40 percent of your cooling energy costs by replacing it with a newer, more efficient model. F.C. Haab is proud to offer ENERGY-STAR®-rated units from respected manufacturers like Bryant and Carrier, built to the highest quality standards.
